I saw a movie a very long time ago the was about 3 or 4 college friends that decide to vacation in Russia, I think. they crossed over into communist territory and were captured. in trying to escape they found themselves in a human chess game in which they had to win their freedom. can anyone tell me the name?

I am pretty sure the movie you are thinking of is called "Born American", made in 1986.I saw it along time ago. Go to www.imdb.com and do a search for this. You know I might have to rent that again.

It involves West and East Germany instead of Russia but the movie you describe makes me think of Gotcha.
