Subject: Song in "Sixteen Candles"
Can anyone tell me the name of the song that plays when Sam is about to talk to Jake in the gym when he is getting his girlfriends coat and she turns her back to him to decide what to say but when they make eye contact, she chickens out. I don't know the lyrics but there is a chorus of OOOOhs and Hahs. It's not True by Spandau Ballet though. I'm really anxious to find out the answers.Thanks!

Actually, it's the same person, April. They previously posted as "MMR" when they first asked this q on the message board in two separate threads started back on September 1st and 2nd. No definitive answer was ever given at the time...

that's it then, I'll have to dig out my copy and watch it tonight..
for some reason, I could have sworn though, that it was True, but somehow altered in the movie.. we'll know for sure after this weekend

ok.. True was much earlier in the Dance scene.. you're right, it's not True...
the credits appear to list the songs in order of appearance.. but not quite sure still what it is..

I'm pretty certain it's one of the Nick Heywood tunes.. though he doesn't appear to have anything for sell on amazon.com or cdnow.. nor is there a 16 candles soundtrack (so you can listen to song clips)
