You might want to try the 90s board (singers/members from bands like Blind Melon, Sublime, Red Hot Chili Peppers, etc). A lot of famous artists of the 80s seem to have succumbed to AIDS - Freddy Mercury (Queen), Jimmy McShane (Baltimora), and some others became infected with the disease. Is it just 80s artists you're looking for or singers in general? Because I could include Sid Vicious, Chet Baker, and a few other non-80s artists as well...
