Subject: A lost 80's dance song

Written By: james martin on 10/21/2000 at 10:52 p.m.

In the late 80's, there was a song called,"Everlasting Love" the same song that was a hit for Robert Knight in the 60's, Carl Carlton in the 70's, Rex Smith & Rachel Sweet in the 80's & Gloria Estefan in the 90's. But I remember there was a dance version that came out in the late 80's ('86 or '87) that's been stuck in my mind ever since. It was by a female singer and it had swirling synths and a male singer singing the line,"Everlasting.... You are my everlasting love (everlasting twice he sings that line) You are my everlasting (loud synth noise) love". I'll probably stumped everybody on this one. Good luck.

I think you are talking about "Everlasting Love" by Sandra. She had a song I liked even more called "Secret Land." It was also a club tune.

The song you are looking for is "Looking From A Hilltop" by Section 25.

"Heaven Can Wait" is also a good tune (I do like "Secret Land" better.)

Do you have a list of songs like we have mentioned. If so, I'll trade you lists. I listened to these songs in the clubs, so I didn't know who was singing them. I've done a lot of searching and found about 50 of them.

Thank you!! I can't seem to get it off of Napster. I would love to trade songs with you! I miss the old club music!

What about "Warm Leatherette" by The Normals. That's a cool song. One song I can't get anywhere is "Don't Walk" by The Big Supreme or "The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore" by Quantize.

Anyway... what else you got???

I miss the old club music too.

"Warm Leatherette" by The Normals is a great tune.

"Don't Walk" by The Big Supreme.
I found it on Napster, I don't recall ever hearing it. I only got to hear 2:22 of it because the person went off line (I hate that.)

"The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore" by Quantize.
I found this on Napster too. I don't think I know this one either.

I will get a list together and email it to you.
