I am doing a paper on drugs sex and music in the last five deacades. I am having trouble finding popular drugs used during the eighties, every other decade had prominent drugs associated with it. If anyone knows anything about this topic I would appreciate any information you can give me. please e-mail me. thankyou riley

In my neck of the woods, the kids (high school or college) did pot/weed. The corporate-Yuppie-gotta-make-a-lot-of-money-before-the-other-guy-does types were into cocaine and occasionally speed.
Of course, no one I knew personally was ever indulging :-)

I believe cocaine was the drug of choice in the 80s. There were a couple 80s songs that I remember that eluded to that. The song "White Lines" and the song "Cocaine". Maybe even the song "White Horse"(title ?)

Not that I participated in ANY illegal activity... but I HEAR that X, acid, medusa, poppers, whip-its, cocaine, weed, etc... were used in the 80's. At least I heard that...
