Subject: Tiffany: Behind The Music

Written By: james martin on 10/25/2000 at 10:08 p.m.

ATTENTION!!!! This Sunday night@ 9EST, 8CT Vh1 will profile one the most talented female teen artists of the 80's: Tiffany. Before Brittney, Christina, Jessica, Mandy along with a lot of teen female artists; there was Tiffany. She was the first female teen artist to have a debut album to hit #1 along with 2 back-to-back #1 singles: "I Think We're Along Now" & "Could've Been" along with a Top Ten song,"I Saw Him Standing There". We'll see her struggle through a nasty lawsuit with her former manger George Tobin (I wonder if he'll be part of this show or like they'll say "He declined to be interview for this program"). Her lawsuit against her mother, her downward spiral into drugs, I think I heard she was into an abusive fight with someone I'm not quite sure if it was true or not and we'll see how becoming a mother and a wife rebound her life and career which in fact, she has a new album coming out soon hopefully by the end of this year. I also wonder if Debbie(Debrorah) Gibson will be part of this show too. That would be interesting. Do I see a BTM on her? I'm not so sure. I can't think of anything bad that's happened to Deborah except a 1999 stalker incident & her unhappiness with the way the record company treated her and how she started her own label. What do you think? Comments please. I think today's teens stars should watch this & learned from Tiffany's mistakes. BTW, does anybody knows the name of Tiffany's 1990 ill-fated album? I know "Holding A Old Friend's Hand"? from 1988, but her out of print 3rd album esapes me quite a lot.
