Subject: A few TV shows that I just remembered

Written By: Tarzan Boy on 11/1/2000 at 6:14 p.m.

Um, there was a live-action show which I used to watch like 10 years ago. The main premise was this:

A family (father, mother, daughter, and son) went on a family vacation to Egypt and went to explore a pyramid. They were led by a guide who turned out to be thief and he left them inside the pitch-back pyramid. Once they found their way outside, they discovered that they were in a totally different place - much like the Earth, but different. Some things were the same, but a lot of things had changed or did not happen at all (one particular episode, the teenage kids begin singing old Beatles' tunes and the whole place went mad - the Beatles never existed in their world). This new world was kind of futuristic, but too futuristic - they did have (I think) hovering cars. And the family was on the run from the law of that world because of an accidental death of one their patrol offiicers. I saw this show dubbed in Spanish with the title: "Otro Mundo," which literally means "Other World" and I really loved the whole premise of it (I saw this show around the same time V came out, which was an awesome show too). Any ideas?

Speaking of good shows, amyone have info on the Degrassi series? That was probably THE best middle-school to high-school, "real-life," based show EVER and it seems to get no recognition whatsoever...Thanks in advance.

I don't know anything about the first show you mentioned, but you can check out the link below for Degrassi info.
