Subject: late eighties dance id's

Written By: langdon hughes on 11/21/2000 at 2:55 p.m.

I apologized profusely if this should be on a different board, but I know you're the folks with the answers.
It's finally happening. All of my tapes from my clubbing days are fading, getting eaten, or have warped beyond recognition, so now I start the process of locating and legally obtaining the stuff I've been listening to for years. Here's the first batch of lyrics. Any identification would be immensely appreciated, TB, TX, DJ, BOC or James?

First:

Nothing's weaker than water, keeping control
We are bound by desire, can you govern your soul
We can govern your soul
We can govern your soul
(male voices, heavy bass drum)

Next:

Pick me up, shake me down
I'll kiss your boots if you kick me around.
I'm the man of your life and I'll make you my wife
I'm the man of your life

Jump, baby, jump off the Empire State,
Can't wait to see what a mess you make.
Drag, baby, drag, baby, such a drag
I just wanna wear your clothes...
(male voice)

Finally:

It's 8:02, the coffee's cold
Shove it down and hit the road
Pressed and neat let's kill the streets
Jump to the rhythm of the traffic flow

Punch the clock I'm right on time
Boss is smilin' feelin fine
Telephone's ringin, telex singing
And the hips of the secretary pass by swingin'

(more until chorus of...)

You've got to hey, turn it up
Rip it down and burn it up
And ho ho shot the gang (?)
You've got to hey, blow the door
Hit the walls and slap the floor
And ho ho go out with a bang.
(male voice, spoken until chorus, it may be called "Bang")

Thank you, thank you thank you, whomever can help.
