Subject: Who sang this song?

Written By: Jean on 12/6/2000 at 7:30 p.m.

I am trying to find out the name of the group/singer who did a song in the early eighties. It was a slower song and the title might be "Man on the Moon." I think some words were: "Babe, (echoes) I'm the loneliest man on the moon. Spending my nights with the meteorites, Ooh, Ooh."
Anybody know? Thanks.
