Subject: Who remembers "Silent Night, Bloody Night"?

Written By: james martin on 12/12/2000 at 8:27 p.m.

I was wondering if anyone remembers the most controversial Christmas movie of all time,"Silent Night,Bloody Night"? I do and thank God I never saw the movie itself. The only scene I can remember is that there were 2 people having sex and then, a arrow went and killed the man on top (if you what I mean). I think Coca- Cola was one of the sponsors of that sickening and hopefully out-of-print flim and the late Gene Siskel said I think like, "Shame on you, you got blood on your hands". I know I'm not the only one that remembers that horrorible (mispelled on purpose) film.

Dude! I remember watching that movie as a kid - and, man, was it gory. I like those campy, slasher flicks of the 70s and 80s (the new are alright, but I remember them being better back then). Sleepaway Camp was another one of those movies... Slumber Party Massacre, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre series, Halloween, Friday The 13th series, etc, etc, etc. Then there are the Eurotrash horror movies by Dario Argento, Lucio Fulci, Massimo Dallamano, Mario Bava, Jesus Franco, et al.

I don't remember too much of Silent Night, Bloody Night except for the scene that you mentioned, but I do know that there were sequels (!) to this piece of trash...cool!

The media hyped up the movie. It wasn't as bad as they said it was. It sucked yeah, but that was because it was low budget. But just because it had Santa Clause as the killer the media went nuts over it. I could think of alot of movies during that time that were just as gory or worse.
