Subject: 60s song. A tough question (?)
yeah, yeah, I know, but this song has been haunting me for a while now, and I know there must be someone out there that knows songs from the 60s.
Unfortunately, all I know of the song is the phrase: "it's the [time and] season for loving..." (that's the chorus line) and that it's a male singer/group. It's a really popular song, actually, but I don't ever get a chance to listen to it at the right moment (always catch it at the end - don't you guys hate that?). Really good song

Yeah, that was the song! I just bought one their greatest hits albums and it has a bunch of good songs. I love the song "Time Of The Season" and, like I said, always caught it at the end or heard it waaaaay off in the background at office buildings/elevators.

That would be "Time of the Season" by the Zombies from 1969.
