Subject: Durian Inquiry

Written By: Juliana, Chinese wife on 12/28/2000 at 4:28 p.m.

~~Hello Tina: You can find the smelly but delicious DURIAN at just about any big-city Asian food store. They are shipped from Thailand and come frozen either whole, about the size of a small football, or the fleshy pods in packages. I like the whole ones best but they are hard to open - just as bad as a coconut. ~~I am Asian and eat durian quite often - you get used to the smell. My husband who is an Oxford author, tells about the durian in his book TO PLEASE A CHINESE WIFE (ahem, that's me). ~~You can visit my URL or Amazon.com and read more about it. I hope this info helps, thank you, Juliana, a Chinese wife.
