Same to you! (And also Happy New Century and Happy New Millennium, as they officially began last night at local midnight! And you thought they began at this time last year!)

Careful of your wording there, crazydon - you're not thinking logically. Remember, a "century" is merely defined as a 100-year period of time, and a "millennium" as a 1,000-year one. Therefore, both a new century and a new millennium did, in fact, begin at this time last year! Now, whether you want to argue if the *21st* century and *2nd* millennium just started, or if that happened a year ago, is another matter (and hey, the whole world doesn't run on the same calendar as we do, anyway) - but I think I know where you stand...

Mr. 80smusicfreak, I've noticed that you seem to enjoy correcting people's wording a lot. Are you an English teacher or something? You know, the whole purpose of this messageboard is to have fun. I mean so what if everybody isn't always as grammatically or "logically" correct as you are!!! I think you shouldn't be worrying about something so petty...

I was being a bit tongue-in-cheek w/ that post, Karen M. That's why I used the smiley faces. I have a lot of respect for most of the regulars here, especially those who are knowledgable and tend to help others on a regular basis, and that certainly includes crazydon. (ChuckyG, BoyOfCorn, TX, and April all also immediately come to mind.) And in this case, he was the one who chose to re-introduce the century/millennium debate, not me. If that same post had been written by a "newbie", you're right, I wouldn't have wasted my time on "something so petty"...

And since you asked, no, I'm not an English teacher, but I do have a journalism background...
