Subject: I can't find this

Written By: lugslady on 1/13/2001 at 11:07 a.m.

Has anyone ever heard of the group giffari? I am looking for one of their songs and I can't seem to remember the name of it. Think they only had one album sometime in the early to mid 80's? Any clues where to look to see if I can find what songs are on the album?

Go to CDnow.com. They have Guiffria over there. It's an import but it lists the songs.

Sounds like you're thinking of the rock group Giuffria. If so, their one big hit here in the U.S. was "Call to the Heart" in the Winter of '85 (although they did go on to score a couple of lesser hits as well). It was off their 1984 s/t debut album. Unfortunately, the album is long out-of-print, and has never been re-issued on CD here in the U.S...

BTW, the band actually released two albums. Their second was "Silk + Steel" in 1986. And like their s/t debut, it's also long out-of-print in all formats, although that one did originally come out on CD here in the U.S. I have both albums on cassette myself - good stuff...
