Subject: Please help me find this song/group

Written By: Terry on 1/18/2001 at 7:43 p.m.

Just wondering if anyone could help me find the name of this song/ the group that played it. I hear it all the time and just remember the lyrics...or kind of remember part of the chorus. It goes "Four, three, two, one...Earth below us...drifting, floating"...something like that. It's a song that talks about some kind of space craft taking off.

Please help!

You're thinking about the classic "Space Oddity" by David Bowie. Mr. Bowie unsuccessfully brought a lawsuit against Peter for the use of his Major Tom space character in the song "Major Tom (I'm Coming Home)" - a classic '80s tune. If I were the person who posted the original question, I'd check out both songs. They're excellent.
