Anyone had to the chance to listen to this great album? Apparently, it seems to have been ignored by the public. No radio station will play songs from this album - I certainly hope Depeche Mode does not get this type of awful reception when their new album Exciter comes out...sigh.

Hello! I am part of the public, but, of course, one of the Duran-loving masses. I am, however, only 16 so I probably count.
I think Pop Trash is good, certainly has the edge over Liberty and Thank You - and probably The Wedding Album, too - but there are too many slow songs and, despite the success of Ordinary World, slow songs are not what Duran are best at. I think they're really feeling the loss of John and his bass on Pop Trash...went to see them on recent tour though and Wes is doing a sterling (no pun intended) job.

Since you asked.

Love,
Khel.

I don't know, I thought the opposite - the slow songs is what made Duran Duran stand out a bit from the fast-paced synthy sounds of their day - and of today. I'm kind of growing tired of the screaming and fast-talking musicians of today, so it is a complete turn-around when I hear a rare gem like "Pop Trash" and "Someone else not me" - brings back the sounds of the early 90's "Ordinary World" and "Come Undone," as well as the early 80s sounds of "Save A Prayer." I don't know; I thought this was an excellent album, but the rest of the world just blew it off like it was radioactive waste...
