Shame on you for lying to your girlfriend!! Tisk tisk! However, the worm dance is just lying on your stomach and "inching" along like a worm.

The "Worm" is a hard "break" move from when break dancing was popular. It is not inching along, but rather throwing yourself along by lifting your legs, neck, and torso into an arch with your hands at your side and your back bent like you would do a back bend only your stomach is on the ground. Then you undulate your body so you rock back and forth and throw yourself forward in an inch worm like fashion, with the arch being your head and neck curving forward in a small swandive like move before your chest hits the floor to continue the roll from chest to groin before arching up once again. If done improperly, it can hurt alot. But those street dancers in those 80's flicks sure made it look easy. I've tried it before, and I'll say this, it's a good time to get in the practice of saying "sorry dear, I made a mistake." Hope this describes it well. Thanx.

I could never do it moving forward, but I found it a LOT easier to do just the opposite way... Start by pushing your shoulders up (like in a push-up but faster), and let that momentum lift your stomach, your hips, and in turn your legs in a wave. You will move backwards, but it still looks good (I remember break dancers doing it this way, too). And it hurts a LOT less!
