Subject: Help! Who sang...

Written By: Christine on 3/9/2001 at 3:27 p.m.

Please help! I remember some of the lyrics of this upbeat 80's song, but not who sang it:

"Please don't apologize, just let me wipe the tears away..." (partial 1st verse)

"I know you're just 16, but lookin' all of 21. Pretty one you'll be married with a gun. Daddy would go to jail for you if he thought you were having the wrong sort of fun." (2nd verse)

"I know that you are not a child, but there's one thing that I love about you, your style. Cry, please don't cry." (Bridge/chrous)

Please put me out of my misery...who sings this tune and what's the title.

I might be mistaken, but I think the artists' name is Clymie Fisher, or something unusual like that...
