Anybody know if the song "Do you dream about me" by Alisha (I think) is available on CD, I can't find it anywhere.
Is it on any of Alisha'a albums? which one?
Not sure how popular Alisha is in the states but here in the UK no record stores have heard of her.

Yes, the song you're thinking of from the 1987 film, "Mannequin", is titled "Do You Dream About Me", and yes, it was by Alisha. Although she's American, Alisha was only moderately successful here in the States...

She was originally signed to a small, independent dance label in 1983, Vanguard Records, for which she scored the minor hit, "All Night Passion" (Spring of '84), and the moderate hit, "Baby Talk" (Winter of '86) here in the U.S. That led to her self-titled debut album on Vanguard, 1987's "Alisha". The album, which includes both of the aforementioned hits, is considered somewhat of a mid '80s dance classic, and therefore is still in print today on CD here in the U.S...

That, in turn, was enough to spark the interest of major label RCA Records, which signed her in '87. She recorded "Do You Dream About Me" for RCA that year, and it was used in "Mannequin". At the same time, the song was also featured here in the U.S. as the B-side of "Into My Secret", the lead single off her second album, 1987's "Nightwalkin'". "Into My Secret" managed to become only a minor hit here in the States in the Summer of '87. Consequently, the album flopped, and unfortunately, it has been out-of-print in all formats since the early '90s, although it did come out on CD here in the U.S. And yes, "Do You Dream About Me" was also included on "Nightwalkin'", so this is the one you want!

She was subsequently signed to MCA Records in 1989, for which she released her third album, 1990's "Bounce Back". The title track, released as the lead single, became a moderate hit here in the U.S. in the Summer of '90. As a result, the album also managed to scrape the bottom of the charts here in the States, her first to do so. But unfortunately, "Bounce Back" also went out-of-print in all formats by the mid '90s, although it, too, came out on CD here in the U.S...

To the best of my knowledge, Alisha has not been heard from since. But I can tell you that "Nightwalkin'" is definitely the toughest of her three albums to find on CD - good luck!

Found an Alisha bio thru internet search on link below. Apparently the song you're looking for was on her "Nightwalkin'" Album, which I'm not sure if it is still in print.

Alisha had some moderate club hits back in '86 with "Baby Talk" and "Too Turned On." I also remember the song "Bounce Back" from 1990 but I think I got rid of my 12" copy b/c it didn't get much play...

Correction on moderate, "Baby Talk" went to #1 on Billboard's Dance Chart. My bad. I do recall it getting a lot of mixshow play (but never enough as Taylor Dayne's "Tell It To My Heart)...
