I have a bet with my husband as to who sang "dankashan" (spelling?) in Ferris Bueller....I say it was Wayne Newton...he says it was a female singer.

I need proof to win!

It is in fact "Danke Schoen" (or with an umlaut, "Danke Schön") by Wayne Newton. At the time he recorded it, 1963, his voice was high-pitched like a girl's.
