Subject: Favorite toys

I'm sure this has been done before, but I'm fairly new here, so humor me. >;-P

List 5 or so of your favorite toys growing up. Not just what was a "hot" or "hip" toy, but what YOU liked to play with.

And, of course, some of the toys will actually be from the 70's, since most of us were in our teens in the early 80's.

Just curious what turns up. These kinds of lists often get one or two that make you you say "Oh, yeah! I forgot about that!"

Anywho, here's a few of mine:

1. Six Million Dollar Man "action figures" (still basicly DOLLS back then lol)

2. Micronauts (only had a few, but they got played to death)

3. Fisher Price's Adventure People (beteen me & my cousin, I think we had every set. I still have a MotoCross bike from one set.)

4. The Green Machine (not an actual "toy", but it was a Big Wheel-type that got LOTS of my attention. I remember I got it for my 8th b-day, and I was King of The Block.)

5. Weebles (early childhood, but great toys. Brought back in the late 80s/early 90s, but bigger, with arms & hair....blecchh! nothing beats the good ol' egg-shaped Weebles. sing it with me..."Weebles wobble but they don't fall down.")

that's leaving out the obvious stuff, like Hot Wheels (must have had hundreds over the years), Star Wars stuff (never had as much as I wanted), and Nerf. All 70s/80s staples.

Thanx for contributing, can't wait for some memory-jarring.

Guns of Navarone? never knew one existed! cool!

we had Jarts up until '88 or so. Dad must've lost 'em in one of their moves shortly after that.
heavy, pointy, metal things flying in the air....now that's family fun!
