In the movie The Neverending Story, What was Bastian's mother's name?

They never said. Bastian commented that his mother had such a beautiful name. When it was time for Basian to give the Empress a new name, he called out "Moon Child". However,I seriously doubt his mother's name was Moon Child! (I guess that could have been her nickname...maybe she was a hippie....) I guess we could just call her Mrs. Bux. Anyway, speaking of names, did you notice that in the first movie the rock-eating creature was called Rockbiter, but in the third his name is Rockchewer?

Not only that...

Do you agree/disagree that the sequels where a lot more fake-looking than the first. The technology to make them look as good or better was available too! I could never understand that. Possible lower budget, maybe? Thanks for your response to my original question.

Yes,I agree. I also wonder why they hired an all-new cast. (I can just hear Bastian now: "Gee,Dad,you look an awful lot like The Flash today!".) Oh,well, they are good movies anyway.
