It is my daughter's 21st birthday shortly.
At her party I would like to refer to some of the big news stories in 1980 - particulary disasters and fuzzy feeling news stories. I would like a site that has all the big stoies of 1980

Did you know ChuckyG has an excellent timeline listing of 1980? I clicked on search and entered "timeline". The 9th entry sent me to the timeline of 1980.

I didn't know Post-It notes were invented in 1980? You learn somethin' new every day.

The DeLorean was still manufactured (that gives ME a fuzzy feeling)
Three's Company was still being made (more fuzzy feelings)
Heaven's Gate (the movie) becomes the BIGGEST bomb at the box office (making Breaker Morant a success in the United States)
Songs that were made at that time: "Nowhere Girl," "Fade To Grey," "London Calling," and "Cars" (I think the last two were released in '79, but they usually pass off as 1980).

I don't know of any sites, but I can give you a couple of stories myself. Mount St. Helen's in Washington state eruptedin 1980. Ronald Reagan was elected in a landslide that year which can either be a disaster or fuzzy feeling story depending on your political leanings.
