Subject: name of a possible Paul Simon song

Written By: jolly dodger on 5/21/2001 at 1:23 p.m.

Hiya gang! I've had a memory of around 1986/87 of when I was still at secondry (high) school sitting in a classroom one lunch break while a group of girls were listening to a small radio and there was this song that came on that they started singing along to. Now, this song could possibly have been a Paul Simon song because the words to the chorus were " yeddley-yey, yeddley-yey, yeddley-yey, yeddley-yey....all this peace and talk of warfare, all this peace and talk of warfare, etc."
I remember that two or three my schoolfriends were playing cards sitting next to me and they joined in but I do remember them saying that it was a song by the rock group Europe(?)

Ok....I'm stumped, can someone help me coz this has been bugging me for almost fifteen years.

Regards, Jolly.
