i absolutely luv this song. is there anyone else who does. it is so fun and boppy, but it also tell about the change of a new generation. who cares if it was a one-hit wonder, at leats we got that ONE hit from the Buggles

The music behind the "Buggles" came from Jeff Downes, who later formed the band, "Asia". They had plenty of hits after that. In fact, you can still hear different instrumental versions of "Video Killed the Radio Star" in many of Asia's live performances!

The Presidents of the United States of America covered the song a few years back. Also, I'm not sure, but I think Camera Club did the song before the Buggles did.

DUDE!!!! That was not only just a one-hit wonder, it was also the beginning of one of the most incredible television programs of the eighties. This was the first MUSIC VIDEO ever played on MTV. Makes me feel old.
