Written By: Diane on 6/8/2001 at 1:55 a.m.

Hi, I'm hoping to discover a way to find the Top 10 Song list for the day of June 13, 1980. I'm not sure where to look, does any one know of a site that might have that information? I need the info before June 13th of this year. Thanks for the help.

Singles charts here in the U.S. are published on a weekly basis, w/ a Saturday date. Apparently June 13, 1980, was a Friday, so here's the top 10 pop chart from the authority, "Billboard" magazine, for the week ending June 14, 1980:

01) "Funkytown" - LIPPS, INC.

02) "Coming Up (Live at Glasgow)" - PAUL McCARTNEY & WINGS

03) "Biggest Part of Me" - AMBROSIA

04) "The Rose" - BETTE MIDLER

05) "Against the Wind" - BOB SEGER & THE SILVER BULLET BAND

06) "Call Me" - BLONDIE

07) "It's Still Rock and Roll to Me" - BILLY JOEL

08) "Little Jeannie" - ELTON JOHN

09) "Cars" - GARY NUMAN

10) "Steal Away" - ROBBIE DUPREE

Other songs that were already on the chart at that time, and would go on to crack the top 10 over the following month were "She's Out of My Life" by MICHAEL JACKSON, "Cupid/I've Loved You for a Long Time" by SPINNERS, "Let's Get Serious" by JERMAINE JACKSON, "Magic" by OLIVIA NEWTON-JOHN, and "Let Me Love You Tonight" by PURE PRAIRIE LEAGUE...

Ah, memories of when I was just getting out of the 6th grade...

Nice Job! I was just about to post those for her, but I see you have it covered. Just getting out of sixth grade, geez. I could only wish the same applied to me!:-)
