Some people were wondering about the other "first" videos ever shown on MTV. I found a list of the first 10 in order:

I found it in a book called "The Top 10 Of Everything." I wish they had a video for sale of this first moments of MTV rather than just a list.
The book also says this was probably the only occasion on which Cliff Richard has ever been featured on MTV. Six of the 10 are British acts, there are no R & B videos, and a little known British duo, PhD, who have never secured a US chart record, make an incongruous appearance at number five.

But he did get a lot of mentions on "The Young Ones" with Rik's Cliff obsession and the theme song (a remake of the Cliff song). Also, there was Rik's Cliff poem:
