Subject: Favorite Non-hits

Okay, we all are familiar with the hit music of the 80s. But what about those album tracks that were never released as singles, or may have been released but never became hits? Give me a handful of your favorite non-hits from the 80s. Here are a few of mine off the top of my head...

Old Antone's - Huey Lewis & the News (from Small World)

Rosemary - Lenny Kravitz (from Let Love Rule)

Stone in Love - Journey (from Escape)

If I Had a Rocket Launcher - Bruce Cockburn (from Stealing Fire)

Flying High Again - Ozzy Osbourne (from Diary of a Madman)

E=MC Squared - Big Audio Dynamite (from This is Big Audio Dynamite)

Lastly, apologies to all if a similar thread has been started before. I did a search and didn't turn up anything, but that doesn't necessarily mean there wasn't one...

Oh yeah - happy father's day to all of us dads

The posts below mentioning The Alarm made me remember "Rescue Me" from the Eye of the Hurricane album, which has lots of good stuff on it.

Others to add:

"Fighting the World" - Manowar

"All the Way" - Vandenberg

"Long Way to Go" - Pretty Maids

"All the King's Horses" - The Firm

"Don't Pay the Ferryman" - Chris Deburgh

"All You Zombies" - The Hooters

"Go for Soda" - Kim Mitchell

"Space Age Whiz Kids" - Joe Walsh

"Up All Night" - Boomtown Rats

Did anyone mention "Sex Dwarf" by Soft Cell? This song was not popular at all when it came out. It only got big when clubs started playing this song years after it was released.

The band "Honeymoon Suite" was one of the most underrated rock groups of all time. In addition to the cult fave "Feel It Again", they recorded the rockin' "(I've Got A)New Girl Now". Zebra's "Whose Behind the Door?" was also a fave of mine. Most of you are familiar with the live version, but take a listen to the original.
