I'm a moron. So instead of continuing to embarrass myself further, I'm just going to ask. What's the correct punctuation for titles of songs versus titles of albums? Quotes? All caps? Anyone? Anyone?

The accepted standard is to put song titles in "quotation marks" and to italicize album titles; e.g., Michael Jackson's #1 hit, "Billie Jean", was off his 1982 album, Thriller...

As a preface, I don't really think it matters a whole lot on this forum

I've seen it done in different ways, and I don't think I've been consistent in the way I have done it. But I think the proper form is to have individual song titles in quotes ("Cannonball") and album titles either in italics or caps. Could be wrong thouogh...

LOL I think we all have our anal moments. I'm pretty anal when it comes to the misuse of certain words - "there" for "their", "it's" for "its", etc.

Mine would be alot for A LOT. This is the one thing I did learn in English class.

I am so with you! Mine along those lines are "your" instead of "you're" and the misuse of "literally". I feel a rant coming on, I must end this.
