Subject: Paula Abdul and BANANARAMA!

Written By: Mark on 6/21/2001 at 6:29 p.m.

Paula Abdul recently wrote the Kylie Mingoue hit 'Spinning Around'.

Bananarama sold more records internationally than the the go-go's and the bangles put together ( FACT) They were better than both of them and mel and kim. They also sold more internationally than the supremes.

I am still upset that the info i submitted hasnt been uploaded to the bananarama page here.

Well, good for Bananarama...but Slim Whitman and Zamfir have sold more records internationally than any bands in the past thirty years...when it comes to international taste, I dont think too highly of some of it...for my money, as far as talent goes, the Go-Go's run circles around Bananarama (they cant play instruments or write songs..just dance and sing..) I like Bananarama, but they dont compare to the Go-Go's in my book! And I bet when it comes to rock history and who earns a spot in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame..the Go-Go's will be there....and Bananarama wont...

Subject: Expose

The biggest selling girl group of the 80s in the US, I believe, was my fave 80s girl band, Expose. They scored an impressive list of hits in the late 80s with their "Miami" sound, including their Number One hits from 1987/88, "Seasons Change" "Let Me Be the One", and their dance hits, "Point of No Return' and "Come Go With Me". They are the second biggest selling girl group after the Supremes in the US, even though they did not become huge in Europe as they did in the US. Go, girls!!!

Come on, cut Chucky some slack. He is a busy guy, with a job and everything. Anything he does in relation to this site is done in his spare time, and as far as I know he hasn't taken on any helpers. If it gets done, Chucky does it. Personally, I think he does a helluva job, even if things aren't updated as often as we might like. I once tried maintaining a website that was devoted to one of my hobbies, and it got old real quick. Needless to say, that site is no longer on the WWW
