"Pop Muzik" by M was #1 for one week the week of November 3, 1979. I was quite shocked to realize that it was a 70's song. It must have been quite sophisticated for it's time. I'm sure that M paved the way for many new wave artists in the early 80's.

I remember first hearing it at summer camp in the summer of 1979 and I knew it would be a big hit. It was one of those hits where if you bought the album and not the single, you were really disappointed.

Speaking of Pop Muzik; has anyone heard the new "remake" of this song by Marcus? It's actually pretty good! Usually, I detest 80s songs being redone by today's artists, but this one is an exception. The lyrics have been changed to fit today's "Pop" music scene, and it's dead-on!
