right here is the thing, i remember watching a movie (80's) i think where a teenage guy who is saving up for a telescope gives all the money to the school's 'babe' so that she can replace an expensive outfit of her mothers that was wrecked. in return for the money she agrees to be his girlfriend for a month, this makes him poopular and then he can lead his own life, but she falls for him and tells everyone about the deal, she drives a white volkwagon golf cabriolet and he used to mow her mother's lawn, thats all i can remember, any idea what its called,
