Subject: What Show Was This?

Written By: Wicked Lester on 7/6/2001 at 2:45 p.m.

While enjoying the final weekday of my 5 day weekend, I was watching The Odd Couple on TV Land this morning and I was reminded of another television show, but I can't remember what it was. Anyway, remember at the beginning of TOC how Oscar tosses his cigar butt on the ground and Felix stabs it with the tip his umbrella and tosses it in the garbage? I seem to remember another show in recent years using a similar scene in its opening, but my wife says I'm losing it. Does anyone else remember this, or am I headed around the bend? I thought senility started much later in life

Damn now you've messed with my head :-)

But I think there is something to it - maybe the sort of thing where a guy throws his cigar away and a poor guy picks it up to smoke?

Was there some sort of Oscar/Felix tribute in the opening to Perfect Strangers? After my wife told me I was nutty she came back and said that maybe there was something at the beginning of Perfect Strangers similar to what I was remembering, but I only watched the show occasionally so I don't know if this is right or not
