Subject: The film was called "Scavenger Hunt"

Written By: Kathy, St. Paul, MN on 7/7/1999 at 9:54 a.m.

It was a late 70's early 80's film called Scavenger Hunt, starring, among others, Roddy McDowall, Tony Randall and Richard Mulligan and Scatman Carruthers. In it, the millionaire- founder of a board game company dies. His will names about 20 people as potential inheritors of his estate, but they each get sent on a big scavenger hunt to find a list of items he specifies in his will. The winner will inherit his estate. A broad comedy, kind of like Its a mad mad mad world. Play to Win was the theme song, played frequently. I don't know who was singing it, though.
