Subject: Star Hits magazine

Written By: Andie on 7/27/1999 at 9:09 p.m.

Just wondering if anyone out there who remembers the music magazine Star Hits can tell me whatever happened to it. It was the coolest mag of its kind. Famous for quirky interviews and pinups of Robert Smith, Morrissey, INXS, John Taylor, and lesser known acts of the era like Swing Out Sister, Pseudo Echo, and Erasure. Also looking for back issues. Thanks!

Yeah, I loved that magazine - wasn't it British? Didn't Neil Tennant used to write for it? I subscribed sometime around 85-86. I thought the interviews in it were very revealing of the musicians - you know, the interviewer would just sit back and let 'em talk, and the pinups were great. I don't know if I still have any issues. If I find any, I'll let you know.
