Subject: Trying to Find "Wideboy Awake"

Written By: Mark on 8/12/1999 at 4:02 a.m.

Hi all,

does anyone know where I can find a tape or (doubtful) CD of the group "Wideboy Awake"? Richard Blade's flashback alblums have one song from them but I am trying find a song by them called something like "Blue Monday" "new monday", "New Money" or something along those lines. In any event, have been trying to find their one and only alblum for years and most record stores' computer systems won't even recognize the group's name.

Thanks

Mark

Hi Chuck,

Thanks for the suggestion, but I know it was a different song than New Order's Blue Monday (which is a great song and much more accessible). I do appreciate the response though.

Yeah, I was pretty sure everyone and their dog had heard of the New Order song, but I just spoke to someone who had never heard of Joe Jackson so I figured, you can't be too careful. Good luck in your search for knowledge!

"someone who had never heard of Joe Jackson"? Please tell me either you are joking or immediately got special dispensation from the government to burn that person at the stake as a blasphemer! : )

I did sing a little bit of "Steppin' Out" and he said "Oh, yeah, I guess I remember that one."

I know, I know, it's enough to give a girl a heart condition.
