Subject: 80's artists NOT TOGETHER......

Written By: james martin on 8/24/2001 at 6:16 p.m.

I know this maybe a stupid question, Does anybody know that all the artists that on the charts in the 80's are not together anymore. Let me make this clear, You don't see Air Supply mixed with The Human League; Madonna & Richard Marx sharing the charts(The Hot 100) is what I'm talking about. Chicago & Roxette; Duran Duran & Kenny Rogers; Barry Manilow & Def Leppard. Does anyone knows what I'm talking about?

Isn't it like that for every music era? Artists come and go, it's as simple as that.

Actually, I can give info on Duran Duran. The five of them are recording an album this summer/fall that should be out by next year. (They take their time a LOT.) They had picked up a guitarist from Missing Persons when their drummer (Roger Taylor), and guitarist (Andy Taylor) left in '86. Then the bassist (John Taylor) left in '96. Now the Missing Persons guitarist (Warren C.) has reformed his former 80's band while the 3 Taylors returned to play with the 2 members who have remained throughout Duran Duran's history, the keyboardist (Nick Rhodes), and singer (Simon Lebon). That's it on their summary.
