Subject: Zeta-Jones & Hurley with Indy

Written By: JanSanJes on 8/25/2001 at 2:38 a.m.

The other day on an entertainment news show, my daughters saw something about Catherine Zeta-Jones and Elizabeth Hurley having bit parts in one of the Indiana Jones movies. This was supposed to be before they were "anybody". Can anybody give me info about this? We watched all three movies, but did not see them.

Yea they both did. I think a couple other now famous people had guest roles on Young Indy. Though this wasn't an '80s show. It ran in the early '90s. "The Adventure of Young Indiana Jones" ran in the early '90s, from '91-'93 I believe. Search IMDB. http://www.imdb.com/Find

I can't remember the name of the episodes Hurley and Zeta-Jones both were in, but Catherine Zeta-Jones played an Arabic princess that captures Indy with her beauty. If you go to a big video store like Blockbuster Video or Hollywood Video, they will have a selection of episodes of the Young Indy adventures. In interviews, Sean Patrick Flannery speaks about working with stars before they were famous. Though I think Elizabeth Hurley was already a well known model at that time.
