Does anyone remember who the host of Romper Room was? Has she been on any other shows?

i remember romper room!! i loved that show!! it was on either right before or right after richard simmons. we made my mom make us some of those coffee can stilts so we could have some just like they had on romper room, and one of my mom and aunts favorite things to say when we kids were getting a little wild at church was "this is not romper room" they still say it, but the kids now have no clue what it means!!! lol

Oh God, do I remember! I was on Romper Room here in Canada (CBC). Our hostess was Miss Barbara,(I think) and during story time I kept playing with the jack-in-the-box. My mom was in the audience dying of embarrassment. Miss Barbara kept putting the toy aside and I kept dragging it back.

Wasn't Romper Room sort of regionalized, with different hosts in each city? I remember watching it at home when I was a kid, but when I would go visit relatives in other cities there would be a different lady on the show.

what!! that kinda kills it for me...for whatever reason...knowing than whenever other kids didn't see the same host as me.......obviously ours was the best.!! haha
