Contrary to what has already been suggested, it wasn't "Mexican Radio" by Wall of Voodoo... *scolds MDC, LOL!*
Your "mystery song" is, in fact, "Voice on the Radio" by Conductor, a minor hit here in the U.S. in the Winter of '82. They were a rock band out of L.A., who proved to be one-hit wonders. The song was off their 1982 album, simply titled "Conductor". Unfortunately, the album is long out-of-print, and has never been re-issued on CD here in the U.S...

Good call on that one, 80smusicfreak!!! I have never even heard of that song by Conductor!!! I now bow down in reverance to you...
