That's because the kids today have no social conscience. There is no threat to their lives, globally, so they don't really appreciate life in America. Previous decades had to live with the threat of annhiliation (sp?)This is 1 of the main reasons, I believe, that in America there has been such a rise of domestic(In America itself, not in the home) violence such as Columbine, Paducah, ect... Also, the eighties were about having a good time and enjoying yourself while trying to make a difference in the world. Today's music is either hollow or just a bunch of kids whining about how terrible their life is. They should at least visit another part of the world for one month, and I bet the attitude would change.
