Subject: Trying to find a song from a video that I remember
I don't know if anyone can answer this question, but if so, please, please tell me.
I remember a music video from around 1987, 1988, or 1989 that featured a girl singing on some street in some town.
She had short dark hair, and it was a breezy day. They showed her singing in different parts of the town, one being on some cement steps. I also think that they started off the video by this woman looking up at some apartment building.
The only other thing I can remember is that it came in at #4 in the music video countdown for whichever week they were doing the countdown. Oh yeah, and it was also a rock station video(MTV?).
I know that this is very little info to go by, but that's all I can remember about this song. I want to know what the song is because I remember just loving that video as a child. So if anyone has any idea about what song this may be, please post it and let me know. I'll be forever grateful....corny, but hey, I'm desperate.

Just guessing here, but the song you might be thinking of is "Luka" by Suzanne Vega from 1987.

Thanks, BoyOfCorn! I just went to a search engine, found the lyrics for the song, and they look familiar. I just went to a downloading site and I'm getting the song right now. I'll let you know if it's the right song.

Well, I just listened to the song. I'm pretty sure it's the one I remember. Now I'm off to find a video clip for the song to see if it really is the same video and song I remember from so long ago.
Since I was so little when I heard it, I'd definitely remember the video over the song. Until I find some sort of video clip, I'll never know if it's the same song I've been thinking about all these years.
