Subject: Movie Title Mystery...
It's a 70's question, but that message board is not quite as active as our own 80's board. A few of us want to know here.
So, here it goes:
There is a movie called "The Manitu" that was done in the 70's. It was about an Indian spirit posession, I believe. What stands out in my mind is a scene where an entire hospital floor is ice cold and foggy. There is also some Indian ritual performed in one particular room where the Indian Spirit is manifesting itself.
Strangely, I cannot find it in the IMDB. Perhaps I am mispelling the title.
Does anyone recognize the movie plot or title?

I have this movie on VHS... it was based on the book THE MANITOU by Graham Masterton.... starred Tony Curtis and was a pretty decent movie.

Wow, I remember this movie!!! I recall that my sister and I were spooked by watching this movie as kids on TV back in the early 80s. I haven't seen (or even thought about) this movie in decades!!!

It's soooo good when someone else recognizes what one's talking about!!!
Why wouldn't it be in the IMDB? They have almost everything else. I must try to do a little more research. If I find out anything further on the subject, I'll let you know if you're interested.
