Written By: Kate on 8/23/1999 at 3:14 p.m.

Hi:

Was listening the some oldies Saturday night on the radio...pop songs around the late 70's or 80's (?). The DJ named the group as The Monroes...cannot find them. Anyone ever heard of these guys?

Thanks,

Kate

They were a San Diego group that had the misfortune of having their label go under while their first single, "What Do All the People Know," was climbing the charts. The song is the last track on "Living in Oblivion, The '80's Greatest Hits, Volume 3." They were referred to in the liner notes of that album as "the great lost group of the '80's."
