hey

today i picked up Steve Perry's solo album "Street Talk" and while it may not be as good as some of his journey work, there are some awesome songs (oh sherrie, etc) - well i was wondering what happened to him - does he ever tour? does he ever make appearances? - cause if he is just away living in obscurity that is really sad (especially considering that an incomplete Journey still tours) - well if anyone has any info - like a mailing address, or just news - please post it thanks NINO

I saw Journey several times and found them to be incredible. I think Steve Perry's voice really made Journey. I used GoTo as a search engine. There are several sites devoted to Steve Perry. You may also want to check out some Journey sites. You may find what you want in these sites. Good Luck.

Steve Perry is still around! He's on an extended vacation... you might say. Steve came out with an incredible album For The Love Of Strange Medicine in 1994 and toured. I was fortunate enough to see him in San Francisco during this tour. I saw Journey's Evolution show in the early 80's. Although Steve Perry is no longer with Journey (and likely will NOT return to the group), Journey has vocalist Steve Augeri, who is an awesome vocalist and if you don't know Steve Perry's vocals like THIS crazed SP fan, you'd think it was SP singing. I just saw Journey last week and they were rockin'. But, it's just not the same for me, as I adore SP's stage presence. Steve Augeri gave a nice speech after the concert, basically saying that "I'm here and I'm not going anywhere", but gave recognition to SP's talent. Don't give up on Steve Perry though, he'll be back around. He's had a run of crappy luck (mother died, had hip surgery, step-father died, etc.) You will find LOADS of Perry bashers... just watch the posts here! I await his return!!!
