Subject: homecoming floats

Written By: Barbie Randhay on 9/4/1999 at 12:50 a.m.

my class was assigned the 80's for our homecoming hall and float. We have many ideas for the hallway however we can't decide on what to do for the float. Please, if anyone has any ideas email me. Thank you greatly in advance.

Try doing the valley girl/mallrat look. Big hair, leg warmers, big makeup, etc. Rent Valley Girl and Fast Times at Ridgemont High for examples. Good luck. Whatever you choose, hope you win best float.

I think I'd be fun to make your float a big TV and have people dress up like different musical/historical/whatever figures from the 80's and come in and out of the "screen". You could have famous songs, news soundbites, movie lines, etc. playing and have the characters lip synch a little "tour through the 80's."
