Subject: French songs

Written By: Hans Stuttgart on 9/7/1999 at 3:25 a.m.

Hi folks. I need to know the titles and the names of the artists of two songs of the 80's. They're both sung in French: the former it's probably "Etienne" or somewhat like this; the latter says in the chorus "garçons". And what's the correct title of the Vanessa Paradise's song about the "taxi"?? Danke!!

No clue about the French songs, but Vanessa Paradis sang 'Joe le taxi' Etienne? You don't mean the French song Hélène, do you?

I think you might be referring to Saint Etienne who had albums such as Alpha Fox (Fox Alpha?) in the mid/late 80s. Joe le taxi is right however.

First of all thanks to Hans and Jessie's Girl. About the songs, I only know that I seem to hear the word "Etienne" (it may be A ti Anne, etc.)in one and the word "garcon" in the other. However this two songs were very famous in the 80's but at that time I was too little to understand French.
