How was/is your college life, mine seems to be going pretty well considering the fact that I am on school campus and the girls are shisty and some of the males are shy and some are stuck up and so that's pretty good .But any way how is your college life.......

I attended a small, urban liberal arts college, and lived in the dorms all 4 years 1983 - 1987 . I was a Straight-Edge before there was a name for it, which made me sort of an anomaly. People gave me a hard time for not drinking at all the parties, but I won out. Ever danced to Frankie Goes to Hollywood's "Two Tribes" dance mix? That spoken word part about setting your dead loved ones outiside your bomb shelter, clearly labeled, was freaky to dance to! Academically and financially I was completely over my head the whole time. The school work was hard & I took it increadibly seriously. I could often not even afford the books, never mind money for off campus fun things. But living on campus was entertaining. They always had events to go to , so I was never bored. The school was full of unbelieveable rich kids, trying to be cool, by acting as poor as possible, making sure their clothes were as worn as possible, etc, so fashionn-wise I fit right in! I lucked out! I had a college radio show for a few months once, in 1985. I played Kid Creole and the Coconuts singing Endicott, Ministry singing Halloween, Killdozer singing Hamburger Martyr, Joan Armatrating singing I Love it when you Call me Names, and Black Flag sinigng TV Party, and lots of Laurie Anderson The people and the atmosphere and the pettiness of the acedemics did get to me by the end of that 4 years. I was more than ready to let it be over, by then
