Hey there! I had a little fun putting this passage together the other day and wanted to share it. It's a made-up love letter, using 30 SONG TITLES that are all taken from the same year. All songs are listed in the Billboard Hottest Hot 100 Hits book. Of course I had to insert some of my own words to make it read smoothly. Can anyone guess the year? Feedback is welcome.
Dear DIRTY DIANA,
Those ENDLESS SUMMER NIGHTS we spent together in KOKOMO were JUST LIKE PARADISE. You know just how to MAKE ME LOSE CONTROL with your LOVE BITES. I GET WEAK every time you POUR SOME SUGAR ON ME. THE WAY YOU MAKE ME FEEL...Wow! What a NEW SENSATION. WHAT HAVE I DONE TO DESERVE THIS?
When my last GIRLFRIEND broke up with me I was SO EMOTIONAL. I thought, "WHERE DO BROKEN HEARTS GO?" My once PERFECT WORLD had turned into SHATTERED DREAMS. Friends said, "DON'T WORRY BE HAPPY. No use in dwelling on what COULD'VE BEEN. Yeah, right! TELL IT TO MY HEART! Sometimes it's hard to LOOK AWAY from the past. But just as I was WAITING FOR A STAR TO FALL you came along OUT OF THE BLUE. Now I've GOT MY MIND SET ON YOU and I'm NEVER GONNA GIVE YOU UP. I WANT TO BE YOUR MAN, ANGEL, and I hope that I'll be able to give you EVERYTHING YOUR HEART DESIRES.

I would have to say it was 1988. My personal history timeline is based on what music was popular at the time something significnt was happening in my life. And most of those songs I remember from 1988. Thanks for the walk down memory lane.

My guess to this would have to be 1987...am I right? If not, my second guess is 1988, and I know one of those two have to be right!
