Subject: Nickelodeon (and Great Space Coaster?)Animation

Written By: 80s on 10/1/1999 at 12:58 p.m.

1)In the early 80s, Nickelodeon used to show little animated shorts in between some shows. One was a claymation thing. There was a blue lump of clay and a red lump of clay. The blue piece of clay was smaller than the red one, and it made a squeaky sort of sound as it's speach. The red ball of clay made more growly noises. I seem to remember that the red piece of clay would often flatten out and have a face on it. It always seemed to be annoyed at the blue piece of clay, which would roll around, change into different things, etc. However, they also seemed to be friends. It was a cute and funny little series, which was never introed with a name or credits. They were only a few minutes long. Anyone remember? Does anyone know the name of these characters, the animator, etc?

2) For some reason I think that this was second thing was on Nickelodeon, yet it could have been shown on the "Great Space Coaster." Perhaps it showed up in both places. Anyway . . . it consisted of a white line on a black background. The line had a human-like outline rising out of it (but still part of the line). It walked along the line and would encounter obstacles put there by the animator (such as lumps, hills, breaks in the line, etc.). It would often yell at the animator in a made-up language. It was really funny, especially the character's voice. Anyone remember this or know what it was?

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!
